90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot,
Age of vines: 15 years.
Yield 35 hl/ha.

Soil: sandstone (Vigna Sughera).
Altitude: 550 meters osl.
Plantation density: 5000 vines/ha.
Organic farming since 1996.

The grapes are handpicked and selected to ensure an accurate degree of maturation and a healthy state (middle october).
The grapes are gently separated from the stems and then conveyed in stainless-steel tank.
The alcoholic fermentation takes place in the stainless-steel vats composed of fullers and bands to ensure a constant temperature control.
The temperature is maintained at 25° – 28°C during the fermentation and maceration of approximately 12-15 days.
During this period pumping over and breaking down are carried out alternatively.
The pressing is achieved through a pneumatic press.
The free run wine is kept at 22°C (72°F) in the barrels to support the malolactic fermentation.
After FML the temperature is decreased to 16°C for all the ageing.

12 months of ageing in French oak barrels (10% new, 50 % one wine, 40 % two wines).
Bottle ageing for minimum 6 months.

It present a bright ruby color; the nose offers delicate notes of red berry fruit.
The structure in the mouth has fine and charming tannic weave.
